In this episode, I sit down with John Seed. A rainforest activist, deep ecology teacher, and one of Australia’s most important voices in helping people remember their place inside the living world.
We explore deep ecology not just as an idea, but as a shift in identity. Not “humans over here and nature over there”, but humans as one expression of the Earth, woven into the same living web as forests, fungi, rivers, animals, soil and everything else.
John shares from decades of rainforest activism, the birth of the Council of All Beings, and the deeper question sitting underneath so much of ecological work: how do we move from simply caring about nature, to actually feeling ourselves as part of it?
A beautiful, deep, and grounding conversation for anyone who feels that gardening, soil, forests and ecology are really pointing us back to something much bigger.
