Long before girls were allowed to play Little League, Kathryn “Tubby” Johnston loved baseball so much she disguised herself as a boy, lied about her name and played her way onto a Little League team in 1950s America. What started as the pursuit of a childhood dream became a symbolic act of rebellion that helped crack open the sport for generations of girls to come.
